"Desire is always there and there had also been talks (about rejoining PBSI), but it's not easy when it comes to decision-making," Hendrawan told the Indonesian media at the Bright Up Cup invitational tournament in Jakarta today.

The 50-year-old former world champion is one of the longest-serving coaches in the BA of Malaysia (BAM) coaching set-up since moving from PBSI in July 2009.
Under Hendrawan's tutelage, Chong Wei went on to claim not only a third silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics, he also clawed his way back to the world No 1 世界杯足球 spot in June 2016 — in just a short span of 13 months after starting from scratch.
Hendrawan has enjoyed quite a successful stint, notably his role in getting Lee Chong Wei back on his feet after returning from an eight-month doping suspension in May 2015.
Hendrawan also revealed that he has always been in frequent communication with his compatriots in PBSI.
"It's not because I don't love the country, just that it hasn't come to that point yet. But I have always wanted to return."
